Job Description:

Brillient Corp is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join its Corporate Team in Reston, Virginia. The successful candidate will lead and serve as the point of contact for all human resource support personnel on offsite contract teams.

Under the general supervision of the Chief People Officer, the Human Resources Generalist provides a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The HR Generalist will perform full administration of Brillient’s benefit plans and while utilizing excellent customer service, act as the liaison between Plan Vendors and Brillient Employees
  • The HR Generalist will participate in benefit plan review, investigate new benefits programs, improve existing programs, and monitor benefits administration provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefits programs.
  • The HR Generalist will process benefit enrollments, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, 401(k) rollovers, distributions, billing and compliance testing.
  • The HR Generalist will administer the organization’s performance management program to include, annual appraisals and 90-days reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government laws, rules and regulations (e.g. ACA, ADA, EEO, ERISA, FLSA, HIPAA, OSHA, and Title VII).
  • Ensure required filings/testing and notices are submitted and distributed in a timely fashion.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files and updating of employee payroll and benefit records.
  • Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits package (e.g. open enrollment, internal communication documents).
  • Evaluate, analyze, audit and maintain compensation and job related data within the HRIS.
  • Analyze and monitor current benefits, evaluating the use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends in benefits programs and recommends containment strategies.
  • Work closely with broker and vendors on the benefits plan administration and design as well as the annual renewal process.
  • Provide excellent customer service support to internal and external customers.
  • Provide support to the HR team with employee relation cases.
  • Prepare new employee offer letters
  • Conduct new employee onboarding
  • May conduct job analysis and develops job descriptions for all job levels within the organizations.
  • The HR Generalist will have Office Management responsibilities to include front desk support, supply ordering, business cards, greeting visitors, and liaise with building maintenance.

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field with a minimum of five years’ experience performing Human Resource responsibilities in the area of benefits, HRIS, compensation, and recruitment. General knowledge of performance management and payroll.
  • PHR Certification is preferred.
  • General knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing employment and benefits administration.
  • Knowledge of Service Contract Act is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills to include MS Office products, and HRIS systems (Paylocity knowledge is a plus).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Trustworthy and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
